October- November

Sat 28th November

No shows this weekend but the first 2 of spices babies are off to their new homes today. The bitch and dog that are left have just come in from the garden having a nice play and have flaked out on the bed so peace until tea time. They can still make nearly as much noise as before!!!

Sun 22nd November

Ashington C.S. on saturday and libby got second in open and best puppy. Had to leave before showing Dede and the group as a Dalmation ran into the back of Angelas bad leg and hurt her knee again. Sunday and it was Catriona Brough at Northern Spaniel. Won the puppy class so all in all a good weekend.

Tue 17 November

Northallerton on Sunday and second in junior for Libby behind Maddie who then went on to BOB and then the adult and puppy group so chuffed about that and well done!! Dede behaved badly and would not stand for me at all so back to training classes again!. New pics of the babies on their page yesterday and they really were watching "Strictly" on the T.V. Not much else happening at the moment but Ashington and Northern Spaniel at the weekend so that should keep me busy.

Sat 14 November

GBAS today and Jock Mckay the judge. Left Frankie at home but pleased to get second with Libby in minor puppy and 2nd in Graduate with Dede under Vizsla judge John Thirlwell. Not a bad day but Angela informs me I've entered at Northallerton on sunday so no peace for the wicked then!!

Thurs 12 November

No show news to speak of but we are getting ready for Gundog Breeds at the weekend. Puppies are growing and looking really nice. Very noisy today as we have weaned them off Spice and they are not impressed!! Really looking forward to getting up early on saturday (not!)......

Sun 1st November

Midland English Springer today. Set off early in the pouring rain and had a nice day out without "her in doors" Libby got second in minor puppy bitch so not a bad day. Puppies looking really nice at the moment and great to see dad James getting the CC today. Chucked in limit with Frankie less said about that the better.... On a better note it looks like Frankie is in whelp to Seamus so great news . Puppies due around 9th December.

Sat 25th October

No shows this weekend but started the puppies feeding this morning. That was after spending 2 hours in freezing cold pond water trying to revive a koi that commited hari kari overnight. Got it swimming and breathing eventually but time will tell if it will survive. Took the chance to weigh it and its 3 lbs !

Tue 20th October

Puppies are 2 weeks yesterday and are doing really well. Took some new pics yesterday and put them on the litters page. Spice is happier to leave them now it was a bit hard having to pick her up everytime we wanted her to go out!

Sun 18th October

Off to Newton Aycliffe open show and because we have the babes I had to take the dogs myself today. Under Fran Glendinning we got best puppy with Libby and Best NSC with the Vizsla Dede. Then we went on to group 3 with both so a great day

Wed 7th Oct

Had a good trip down and 2 good matings so fingers crossed. We are both looking forward to see what Frankie and Seamus can produce together.

Tue 6th Oct

Early start today for the drive down to Dave and Jacky Mitchells. Frankie is going to be mated to Seamus and with us having the babes I will be going by myself and taking Beth as company for Frankie.

Mon 5th October

Long night and day but Spices babies arrived at last! They are all doing fine 3 dogs and 1 bitch including 1l/w tri dog.

Fri 2nd October

Driffield today under John Lillie and decided to take the caravan for the weekend. Great result for Libby who won her class and a 3rd for Frankie in limit so not a bad weekend. The weather was a bit wild and, luckily, we decided to pack up and leave that night otherwise we would be in trouble for the journey home.
