December - January - February 10/11

Sun 27th February

Libbies babies are all doing well. I'll get some individual pics done sometime this week soon as I've caught up with some sleep. Libby still wonders why these things in the box squeak as much (probably got something to do with her sitting on it or licking it to death! ) Angela went to Billingham open show today.....no comment..... Still waiting for Dede to come in season and still showing no signs.

Fri 25th February

Libbies babies arrived late on thursday/early friday! 8 altogether 5 girls and 3 boys ( 3 l/w girls 2 bw girls 2 b/w dogs 1 l/w dog) They seem to be doing well and so is mum. Going to bed now but I'll get some photo's done later today.

Thur 24th February

Not much happening at the moment. We are awaiting the arrival of Libbies pups ( should be Friday! ) Angela is going to a show on Sunday if everything is settled by then. Just come in from the garden where it was 18 deg in the sun!!! are we sure its still February.....

Sun 12th February

Jarrow and Hebburn open show today and Angela showed the dogs there while I went to steward for the Northumberland and Durham Lab Club. Dede won BoB under judge Mrs M Waddell. As for the springer judging........................... Better not say anymore. Libbie is blooming at the moment and looking bigger by the day.

Sun 6th February

Northern Counties Gundog today 3rd of 3 for Dede but she stood and moved really well so we were quite pleased with her. Seems we have finally got over her being silly in the show ring. Breed "judge" Phillip Kirk (Laceby) for the Springers. Really thought he would have liked Frankie. Should have known better and left them at home..... Eye testing session yesterday and all went well. so thats that done for another year for most of them.

Sun 30th January

Some show news at last ( seems like ages since we were out ! ) We went to Border Counties Gundog today and Dede was second in open bitch under judge Shaun Leyton. Really pleased with her as she stood and moved really well. Still no sign of her coming into season yet..... Looking promising for Libby so fingers crossed for some babies come the end of February.

Wed 5th January

Happy New Year to everybody. We have both been suffering from the flu since New Years Eve but are now "back on the mend" We did manage to get Libby mated but that was about the last thing we did before heading for our beds. First big show of the year at the end of the week but we did not enter and we missed the entries for Manchester as well. Still waiting for Dede to come in season but no signs yet. Beginning to wonder if we might of missed her.

Tues 28th December

Well the festivities are over for another year and we look forward to new year and possibly some new babies for Libby
and Dede, if she ever comes in season!! The snow is finally starting to melt up here and we did get our power back on at midnight on Sunday.

Sun 19th December

Tweedmouth limited show yesterday and we had entered Libby, Dede and Ola. Libby has finally come into season so we left her behind but Ola did us proud by winning her 2 classes and then Best in Show!! The weather has turned nasty up here again and we have a good 6 inches of snow at the moment and still snowing hard and now the power has gone off. Roll on spring........

Mon 13th December

Not a lot of news at the moment. We are still waiting for Libby and Dede to come into season (hopefully soon) but they are not showing any signs at all. We have got some open shows coming up soon so Angela is keeping the dogs well trimmed. The weather so far has caused havoc with the local shoots and, even if they had not been cancelled, we have only just got rid of the last of 2 foot of snow and have not been able to go anywhere! Looking at the weather forecast we could be in for some more by the end of the week. Some friends not too far away from us had a full 4 feet of snow! so much for global warming......
